Many of us struggle with what to gift our clients at the holiday season. After the uncertain two years the events industry and the entire globe have had, we decided to give back uniquely through our clients and spread good cheer and charity in the world. After all, who needs another box of gourmet coffee, or wine, chocolate, and cheese baskets? Well, ok, must admit we wouldn’t turn that down. But most of us don’t need more stuff.

In lieu of physical holiday gifts this year, we decided to give to charities in our clients’ honor. We sent a holiday themed email giving our clients the choice of two of our favorite charities: Feeding America and Women for Women International.

Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. They support food banks, food pantries, and meal programs with food, funds, and advocacy.

Women For Women International invests in women survivors of war and conflict, providing them with social and economic skills to transform their own lives.

When someone clicked on their chosen charity from the email, a beautiful holiday video from TPG appeared thanking them for their donation. The response from our clients was incredible! Based on the number of responses given, TPG donated $50 for every person who selected a charity. It felt amazing to click the button to give back.

Despite the challenges we’ve all been through over the past two years, most of our lives and our families are relatively safe and secure. For many, however, the holidays can be a lonely, stressful, and difficult time. This is the perfect time of year to give back to the community in ways that make a real impact. We are proud of our clients who stepped up to provide comfort to those less fortunate and brighten the lives of people around the world. And we were happy to be a part of it!

As for the coffee, wine, chocolate, and cheese? Who needs the extra pounds?
